Benjamin R. Bulkeley, Charles L. Dodge, Joseph C. Kilham, Katharine P. Loring, Louis D. Webber and George E. Woodberry Board members absent: Allen H. Bennett, and Elizabeth P. Sohier Others present: Recorder: Charles L. Dodge Beverly April 22d 1911 A special meeting of the Trustees was held on the above date at 4 o'clock P.M. in compliance with a request by letter from the Mayor and the direction of the chairman by letter both of which are on file. The purpose of the meeting was to select a member of the board to be considered by the Mayor as one of the members of the commission to arrange for the building of a Public Library. The meeting was called to order by the chairman; present Miss Loring, Messrs. Driver, Kilham, Woodberry, Bulkeley, Webber and Dodge. It was voted that the board proceed to make a choice. The secretary nominated Mr. Kilham who positively declined to serve. It was then voted that we take an informal ballot, with the following result. Number voting seven; necessary for a choice four. Mr. Kilham had 1, Mr. Webber 1, Mr. Woodberry 1, Miss Loring four (4) Miss Loring having received the requisite number of votes was declared elected and the voted was made unanimous. The secretary was instructed to inform the Mayor of the action of the board. The Board having completed the business for which it assembled. Adjourned Charles L. Dodge Secy.
