Beverly February 25th 1911
The regular meeting of the Trustees occurred on the above date.
Present Miss Loring, Messrs. Driver, Kilham, Bulkeley, Webber and Dodge.
The record of the last meeting was read and approved.
Voted The vacancies upon the board caused by expiration of the term of office of Messrs. Dodge,
Kilham, & Webber having been filled the Board proceeded to an organization by the choice
of William R. Driver as chairman and Charles L. Dodge as Secretary.
Voted To accept the report of the committee on circulation with reference to 40 titles present which
are not to be placed upon the shelves or in circulation until the question of an additional
appropriation is made, the first temporary appropriation having been exhausted.
Voted That Mr. Kilham be a committee to interview the Mayor and City Solicitor with reference to
the expenditures of appropriations under the new charter. Also to arrange for the disposition
of money obtained from fines.
Voted That the committee already appointed to revise the standing committees and prescribe their
duties be granted an extension of time.
Members of this board met Sat. Feb 25th at 3 o'clock P.M. in the Alderman's room by
invitation, to consult with the committee from the Board of Aldermen with reference to the
erection of a Public Library building.
