Beverly April 11th 1908
The regular meeting of the Trustees occurred on the above date (instead of the Saturday)
Present Messrs. Driver, Bulkeley, Webber and Dodge.
The records of the last meeting were read and approve&
Voted That Mr. Bulkeley be authorized to purchase at his discretion the set of books entitled "The
Children' s Hour."
Voted To accept the report of the committee on circulation with reference to 20 titles not present.
Voted That the matter of the acceptance of a work entitled "Gillette' s Social Redemption by Melvin
L. Severy" be left with the Chairman.
The Committee appointed to consider the matter of additional pay to the Librarian and the assistants.
Beg leave to report, recommending that the Librarian be paid One hundred dollars per year in
addition to the annual amount now paid to her. That the assistant Librarians at the main library be
paid at the rate of $426.40 per year each, it being understood that the hours of work shall be forty-
one per week.
Voted That the report above named be accepted and the recommendations be adopted: the payments
referred to, dating from April Ist, 1908. A majority voting.
There be no further business the meeting was adjourned.
