The regular meeting of the Trustees occurred on the above date.
Present Misses Loring and Sohier, Messrs. Driver, Kilham, Bulkeley, Webber and Dodge.
The records of the last meeting were read and approved.
That we accept the report of the committee on circulation with reference to 20 titles present.
Voted To accept the gift of 8 volumes of ... from Mrs. Martha J .... and that the Secretary make
acknowledgment for them to the Executor of her estate.
Voted That the librarian be authorized to accept with thanks the following gifts from Hon. John B.
Peaskee, Ex Sup'dt. Of the Pub. Schools of Cincinnati.
One volume of Souvenir Poems
One Volume of Thoughts and Experiences in and out of School.
Voted That hereafter in all gift books a record shall be made of the fact, together with the name of
the donor. Committee on circulation.
A communication was received and read from the assistant librarians, Misses Jennie P.
Dodge, Ethel L. Dodge and Miss Marjorie H. Stanton with reference to an increase of salary
from $375.00 to $450.00 per year, to date from Jan. 1st' 1908.
Voted To take from the table the motion offered by the Secretary Nov. 30th 1907 relative to the
above matter of salaries.
Voted That a committee of 3 be appointed by the chair to consider the two preceding matters and
report.
The following were appointed Messrs. Joseph C. Kilham; Benj. R. Bulkeley and Miss
Katharine P. Loring.
Voted That a committee of 3 be appointed by the chairman to act with the committee from the City
Govt. to consider the question of selecting a site for the Public Library. The following were
appointed Messrs. Jos. C. Kilham, Charles L. Dodge and Louis D. Webber.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
