1902-15-02 City of Beverly, Massachusetts Public Meeting Minutes Board: Library Trustees Subcommittee: Date: 02/15/1902 Place: Beverly Public Library Board members present: William R. Driver, Rev. Benjamin R. Bulkeley, Charles L. Dodge, Edward L. Giddings, Joseph C. Kilham, and Elizabeth P. Sohier Board members absent: Allen H. Bennett, Katharine P. Loring, and George E. Woodberry Others present: Recorder: Charles L. Dodge Beverly Feb. 15th 1902 The regular meeting of the Trustees was held upon the above date instead of the 22nd, that being a holiday. Present Messrs. Driver, Giddings, Bulkeley, Kilham, Dodge and Miss Sohier. The records of the last meeting were read and approved. Messrs. Giddings, Kilham and Dodge terms of office having expired and their re- appointment by the Mayor for three years having been certified by the Board of Aldermen, it was Voted That the board of Trustees proceed to organize for the ensuing year. Voted That we proceed to ballot for Chairman and William R. Driver was elected. Voted That we proceed to ballot for a Secretary and Charles L. Dodge was elected. Voted That the chairman appoint the several committees. Voted That the report of the committee on circulation with reference to 37 titles present, 7 ordered but not present together with 5 read to be ordered, be accepted and adopted. A check for $25.00 was received from Miss Loring to be applied to the Beverly Farms Branch. The Chairman announced the committees for the ensuing year, to be as follows. Finance Committee Edward L. Giddings Allen H. Bennett Joseph C. Kilham Rooms and Administration Charles L. Dodge Katharine P. Loring Joseph C. Kilham Circulation Geo. E. Woodberry Benjamin R. Bulkeley Katharine P. Loring Branches Elizabeth P. Sohier Katharine P. Loring Allen H. Bennett There being no further business the meeting was adjoumed. Charles L. Dodge Secretary
