1900-24-02 City of Beverly, Massachusetts Public Meeting Minutes Board: Library Trustees Subcommittee: Date: 02/24/1900 Place: Beverly Public Library Board members present: William R. Driver, Rev. Benjamin R. Bulkeley, Charles L. Dodge, and Edward L. Giddings Board members absent: Allen H. Bennett, Joseph C. Kilham, Katharine P. Loring, Elizabeth P. Sohier, and George E. Woodberry Others present: Recorder: Charles L. Dodge Beverly Feb. 24th 1900 The regular monthly meeting of the Trustees occurred on the above date. Present Messrs. Driver, Giddings, Bulkeley and Dodge. Records of the last meeting were read and approved. Voted That the report of the committee on circulation for the purchase of six titles presented and six titles not presented but read, be accepted. Vote That the committee on circulation be authorized to purchase the forty bound volumes of the Saint Nicholas Magazine at an outlay of forty eight dollars (48.00) Voted That the work "The Georgian Period in Colonial & 18th Century Architecture" sent on approval be referred to the committee on circulation. A communication was received from Miss S. A. Culbert librarian at the Farms Branch tendering her resignation, to take effect on April 1st 1900. Voted That the resignation of Miss Culbert be accepted and matter of filling the vacancy be referred to the committee on branches for the nomination of a successor There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
