Loring, Thomas F. Delaney, Helen L. Marsters, Rev. Clarence S. Pond, Fred H. Porter, Robert O. Small, and Elizabeth P. Sohier Board members absent: Caleb B. Hood, and William A. Rowe Others present: Recorder: Marjorie H. Stanton Beverly, October 31st 1925 Regular meeting of the Trustees of the Beverly Public Library was held at the Library on Saturday the 31st day of October 1925 at 3:30 P.M. There were present of the Board Misses Loring, Sohier and Marsters, Messrs. Small, Delaney, Porter and Pond. The records of the meeting of September 26th 1925 were read and approved. The Finance Committee made monthly report. Voted: To approve same. Voted: That the Administration Committee in consultation with the Finance Committee and Miss Stanton, after receiving notification of the transfer of the Salary account to Maintenance - proceed to the painting of the outside of the Library Building (see vote Dec. 27, 1924) Voted: To accept the Librarian' s report to date and place same on file. Voted: That the Librarian consult Miss Minnie A. Johnson, Principal of the Ryal Side School, relative 'to the most available place to establish a branch of the Library at Ryal Side. Voted: To accept the bid of the F.W. Faxon Company for the magazine contract for 1926 at $309.05. The Committee on Circulation recommended the purchase of 85 titles and the receipt of gifts from Miss Alice F. Whitney, the Misses Hunt and Mrs. Walter Burnham. Voted: That the recommendation of the Committee on Circulation be accepted and the thanks of the Trustees be extended for the gifts. Voted: That the expenditure of $75.00 for sending the Librarian and two of her assistants to the Massachusetts Library Club meeting at Williamstown, be authorized. This sum to be taken from the Trust Funds. Voted: That the Chairman of the Board and the Secretary, study the policy of sending the Librarian and her assistants to meetings connected with library work and report at the next meeting of the Board.
