1925-27-06City of Beverly, Massachusetts Public Meeting Minutes Board: Library Trustees Subcommittee: Date: 06/27/1925 Place: Beverly Public Library Board members present: Katharine P. Loring, Thomas F. Delaney, Caleb B. Hood, Helen L. Marsters, Rev. Clarence S. Pond, Fred H. Porter, and Elizabeth P. Sohier Board members absent: Rev. Edward A. Chase, and Robert O. Small Others present: Recorder: Regular meeting of the Trustees of the Beverly Public Library was held at the Library on Saturday the 27th day of June 1925 at 3:30 P.M. There were present of the Board. Misses Loring, Sohier and Marsters, Messrs. Delaney, Porter, Hood and Pond. The records of the meeting of May 23rd 1925 were read and approved. Voted: To authorize the Librarian to apply to the City Treasurer for the return of fine money. The Finance Committee made monthly report. Voted: To approve same. The Committee on Circulation reported the receipt of one gift. Voted Voted: Voted: Voted: That the thanks of the Trustees be extended for this gifts. To accept the Librarian' s report to date and place same on file. That no dogs be allowed in the Library. To authorize the Administration Committee to hold an informal conference with the Mayor of the City, relative to a supplementary budget, providing for necessary repairs at the Library. Voted: Top accept the recommendation of the Special Committee that Misses Allen and Prince be allowed to take two courses in English Literature at Boston University. Voted: That one hundred dollars from the Trust Funds be placed in the hands of this Committee to help defray expenses of such training and that the salaries of the assistants be paid during the time of their taking the courses.
