1925-23-05City of Beverly, Massachusetts Public Meeting Minutes Board: Library Trustees Subcommittee: Date: 05/23/1925 Place: Beverly Public Library Board members present: Katharine P. Loring,, Thomas F. Delaney, Caleb B. Hood, Helen L. Marsters, Rev. Clarence S. Pond, Fred H. Porter, and Elizabeth P. Sohier Board members absent: Rev. Edward A. Chase, and Robert O. Small Others present: Recorder: Beverly May 23rd, 1925 Regular meeting of the Trustees of the Beverly Public Library was held at the Library on Saturday the 2fd day of May 1925 at 3:30 P.M. There were present of the Board. Misses Loring, Sohier and Marsters, Messrs. Porter, Delaney, Hood and Pond. The records of the meeting of April 25th, 1925 were read and approved. The Finance Committee made monthly report. Voted To approve same. Voted: To accept Librarian' s report to date and place same on file. The Committee on Circulation recommended the purchase of 59 titles and the receipt of 15 gifts. Voted The recommendation of the Committee on Circulation be accepted and the thanks of the Trustees be extend for the 15 gifts. Voted: That the Library close at 8 P.M. during June, July and August excepting on Saturday, when it will close at 9 P.M. Voted: That the Circulation Committee be authorized to engage the Margaret P. Blodgett Corporation to lubricate the valuable books in the Art Room, this expense to be paid for from the Trust Funds. Voted: That the matter of shelves in the Children's Room be referred to the Committee on Administration with power to act. Voted: That the Chairman of the Board be authorized to appoint a committee to look into the matter of assisting Misses Allen and Prince to further their library Education and Training. The Chairman thereupon appointed as such Committee: Miss Loring, Miss Stanton, Mr. Pond and Miss Marsters. Voted: To adjourn Adj ourned Helen L. Marsters Secretary
