A meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Library on Thursday, March 27th, at 4
P.M.
There were present only Miss Loring and Mr. Rowe.
The records of the meeting of February 27th were read and approved subject to their further
ratification at the next meeting of the Board.
All further action was also taken subject to approval at the next meeting.
The report of the Librarian and a short summary of expenses for March were read and
approved.
The Circulation Committee recommended the purchase of 79 titles and the receipt of 5 gifts.
The titles purchased include the Encyclopaedia Britannica, the new World Book, the Classroom
Teacher, and four separate volumes of reference books authorized at the Trustees meeting on
February 27th.
The resignation of John Hanners as janitor was received.
Voted: that this resignation be accepted, and that the Secretary be instructed to write Mr.
Hanners to this effect, at the same time conveying to him the regrets of the Board that such a step
had become necessary, and also their deep appreciation of his long years of faithful service to the
library.
Voted: to refer to the Administration Committee the matter of filling the position this left
vacant.
