Loring, Thomas F. Delaney, Rev. Clarence S. Pond, and Robert O. Small Board members absent: James A. Cronin, Caleb B. Hood, Marian P. Motley, Fred H. Porter, and William A. Rowe Others present: Recorder: Marjorie H. Stanton September 25th, 1930 The regular meeting of the Trustees of the Beverly Public Library was held at the Library on Thursday, September 25th, at 4 P.M.; there being present, of the Board, Miss Loring, Messrs. Pond, Delaney and Small. The records of the meeting of August 28th were read and approved. Voted: also: to ratify all action taken by the Board at that meeting, at which there had not been a quorum present. Mr. Small presented the financial statement for September, with the summary of expenditures and balances to date. Voted: to accept the same. The Committee on Circulation recommended the purchase of 155 titles, and the receipt of four gifts; also pictures from Miss Anna Gray. It was voted that this recommendation be accepted. The report of the Librarian was also read and accepted. Voted: to accept the list submitted by the Committee on Circulation, of magazines for 193 1, with such additions and withdrawals as were then voted. Because of Miss Elsie Woodbury's long illness during the last four years, it was voted:- That she be transferred from her present position as Children' s Librarian to that of General Assistant in the Adult Department; and that Miss Dorothy Prince be transferred to the Children' s Room, in place of Miss Woodbury, at a salary of $1200.00.
