The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Library on Thursday, June 26th
at 4P.M.
There were present Miss Loring, Mrs. Motley, and Messrs. Porter and Delaney.
The records of the meeting of May 29th were read and approved.
In the absence of the Chairman of the Finance Committee, the Secretary read the summary
of financial expenditures for the first half of the year. Voted: to approve the same.
The Committee on Circulation recommended the purchase of 107 titles and the receipt of 6
gifts.
Voted: that this recommendation be accepted and that the thanks of the Trustees be extended
for the gifts received.
It was further voted that in future, the acceptance of the Circulation Committee' s report shall
carry with it the understanding that the Secretary extend the thanks of the Board for all gifts received.
It was voted that the Administration Committee look into the matter of digging a dry well at
Beverly Farms, to absorb the water from the Engine House roof; and that the same committee be
empowered to order full length screens for four or five of the reading room windows in this building.
The report of the Librarian was read and accepted.
Since most of the Trustees expected to be in Beverly at that time, it was decided to hold the
regular Board meeting in July.
