The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the library on Thursday, May 29th,
at 4P.M.
There were present Miss Loring, and Messrs Hood, Delaney and Small.
The records of the meeting of April 24th were read and approved.
The report of the Finance Committee, with a detailed statement of the budget for 1930, and
the expenditures for the five months of the year, was read and approved.
The Librarian presented her summary of the library activities for the month of May, this was
accepted and placed on file.
The Committee on Circulation recommended the purchase of 73 titles and the receipt of 7
gifts.
Voted: that this recommendation be accepted and that letters of thanks be sent for the gifts
received.
Miss Loring presented an account of expenditures from Mr. Sohier's fund of one thousand
dollars; and requested that the sum of one hundred dollars be taken from this fund toward payment
of the carving of the inscriptions beside the front door, and that she be permitted to pay the balance
( ) herself.
The Trustees accepted this suggestion with sincere appreciation of Miss Loring's generosity.
Voted: that the libraries be closed at 8 P.M. - Saturdays excepted - from June 1st until the day
after labor Day.
