Loring, Thomas F. Delaney, Helen L. Marsters, Rev. Clarence S. Pond, Fred H. Porter, and William A. Rowe Board members absent: Caleb B. Hood, Robert O. Small, and Elizabeth P. Sohier Others present: Recorder: Marjorie H. Stanton Beverly July 17, 1926 The July meeting of the Trustees of the Beverly Public Library was held at the Library on Saturday The 17th day of July 1926 at 3:30 P.M. There were present of the Board Misses Loring and Marsters, Messrs Rowe, Porter, Delaney and Pond. The records of the meeting of May 29, 1926 were read and approved. Voted: That the Administration Committee be authorized to spend sum not to exceed $275.00 in order to complete the painting in the basement and to re-finish the mahogany in the reading rooms. The Committee on Circulation recommended the purchase of 52 titles and the receipt of 511 gifts. Voted: That the recommendation of the Committee on Circulation be accepted and the thanks of the Trustees be extended for the gifts. Mr. Porter reported the John Casali house had been sold for $1625.00 to Mr. James W. Foster. Voted: To approve of the sale of the "Casali Property" so called as reported by the Administration Committee. Voted: To omit the August meeting of the Trustees, unless made necessary by emergency business. Voted: To request the chairman of the Board and the Librarian, to find a suitable place in which to establish a branch at Ryal Side and to report thereon at the next meeting of the Trustees.
