Regular meeting of the Trustees of the Beverly Public Library was held at the Library on Saturday
the 24th day of April 1926 at 3:30 P.M.
There were present of the Board.
Misses Loring, Sohier and Marsters, Messrs. Delaney, and Porter.
The records of the meeting of March 27, 1926 were read and approved.
The Committee on Circulation recommended the purchase of 37 titles and the receipt of 127 gifts.
Voted:
That the recommendation of the Committee on Circulation be accepted and the thanks of the
Trustees be extended for the gifts. Voted:
To accept the Librarian' s report to date and place same on file.
Voted:
To accept the Chairman' s appointment of the following committees for 1926.
Finance Committee:
Mr. Small, Mr. Hood, Mr. Porter, Miss Marsters
Administrative Committee:
Mr. Porter, Mr. Delaney, Mr. Rowe
Circulation Committee:
Miss Marsters, Miss Loring, Miss Sohier
Publicity and Lectures:
Mr. Rowe, Mr. Delaney, Mr. Pond
Committee on Branches:
Mr. Pond, Mr. Hood, Miss Sohier
On motion of Miss Sohier it was
Voted:
That the report of the Special Committee with reference to re-organization of the Staff be
accepted and the recommendation adopted.
Mr. Porter read and article in the Salem Evening News of April 22, 1926 which reported the transfer
of the Casali property to the Trustees of the Library.
The Committee on Branches reported favorably on the opening of the Farms Branch on
Saturday mornings.
