The regular meeting of the Board was held on Thursday, December 29, at 7:30 P.M.
Only three Trustees, Mrs. Conrad, Mr. Delaney and Mr. Small were present.
According to the By-laws, three members of the Board may constitute a quorum provided
there had not been a quorum present at the two preceding meetings.
The Secretary' s report of the meeting of November 17 was read and approved, and all action
taken at that meeting and at that of October 27 was ratified.
The Administration Committee reported that the repairs at Beverly Farms were very nearly
completed and that the work could be finished with a much smaller additional appropriation than had
been requested on the budget for 1950. This was approved.
The Committee on Circulation recommended the purchase of 21 new books and the
acceptance of 81 gifts. This also was approved.
The Librarian's report, giving details of circulation, and registration of borrowers and of
conditions at the various Deposit Stations, was presented and placed on file.
The Annual Report of the Board of Trustees, as prepared by Mr. Delaney, the Chairman, was
then read, and was accepted as the report for 1950, to be sent to the City Government as soon as
possible after final figures of expenditures and of circulation should be compiled.
