Birmingham, Foster, Rowe and Small in attendance. The records of the meeting of April 28 were read and approved, as was the report of the Finance Committee giving details of expenditures to date. Mr. Delaney, for the Administration Committee, reported that he had had to have repairs made to the plumbing at the Farms Branch. Also that he hd asked both Mr. Baker and Mr. Raymond for estimate on painting on the Main floor at the central library, doing both the Adult and the Juvenile reading rooms and the Delivery hall as far back as the stacks. Mr. Baker' s estimate was $1700.00 while Mr. Raymond's was $1164.00. Since these prices were far in excess of the amount of money available for this purpose, it was voted to ask for bids for painting the Delivery Hall, only, as far back as the stacks, with one coat of paint. The Circulation Committee reported that 126 books had been presented to the Library during the month and recommended the purchase of 237 volumes. This was approved.
