Rowe of Beverly was born in Gloucester eighty-five ears ago. Over a period of forty-five years he established, built up, and became a key man in this business on the Noah Shore. In his passing, November nineteenth, 1950, the community as a whole suffers and the Library loses the service and directive wisdom of a true and tried man. In honor of William A. Rowe, exemplary citizen, prominent business man, supporter of civic organizations, and, in particular, Trustee of the Beve~y Public Library, his associate members of the Board of Library Trustees, with keen regret at their loss and deep sympathy for the bereaved, cause this official statement to be spread upon their records, a copy to be sent to the Press, and a transcript to be presented to his family.
