Small, Delaney, Woodberry and Porter being present. The records of the meeting of May 25th were read and approved. Mr. Small presented the report of the Finance Committee for the first half of the year, and noted that expenditures and balances were in a very normal condition. Voted that this report be approved. The Administration Committee reported that improvements to the Farms grounds have been completed, with the exception of fence needed at the side and at the back of the building. Since there was not sufficient money, at present, to erect both fences, it was left to that Committee to decide which should be put up this summer. The Committee on Circulation recommended the purchase of 89 new titles, and the receipt of 13 gifts. Voted: that this recommendation be approved. The Librarian presented her report, giving details of registration, circulation, and progress in taking stock of books; and it was voted, because of the unusually large number of volumes missing from the shelves, to close the stacks to the public until the September meeting of the Board, and to acquaint the High School Principal with these facts at the beginning of the next school session. A letter was read, from Mrs. Leary, asking that her daughter Beatrice be given a position on the Library Staff, and the Secretary was requested to write Miss Leary, explaining that there were no vacancies at present, but that her name would be considered, should an opening occur. The meeting then adjourned until the last Thursday of September, unless otherwise called by the Chairman Marjorie H. Stanton Secretary
