Beverly, December 27th 1928
The Trustees met at 4 P.M.
Present Miss Loring, Mrs. Motley, Messrs. Delaney, Small and Pond.
The records of the meeting of November 27, 1928 were read and approved.
The Finance Committee read its prepared budget for 1929. Moved by Mrs. Motley and
seconded by Mr. Small that a position of first assistant be created. Carried.
Moved that Miss Marion Allen be promoted to fill the position of first assistant with an
increase of one hundred dollars to her present salary. Moved that Mr. Frank Eldridge's salary be
increase to six hundred dollars per annum.
Report of the Librarian was read and approved. Circulation 220,000 volumes.
Annual report of the Trustees prepared by Miss Loring was read and approved.
Moved that the City Government be requested to grant for 1929

Salary Account
plus 1/2 the dog tax
and that the Finance Committee be instructed to present this as the budget for the year 1929.
