The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Library on Thursday,
October 27, at 4 P.M.; with Miss Loring, Mrs. Motley, Mr. Delaney and Mr. Porter present.
The Secretary read the records of the meeting of September 29, and these were then
approved.
The statement of the Finance Committee, giving expenditures for the ten months - and
balances - was read and approved, also.
The Committee on Circulation recommended the purchase of 372 books (287 being for
work with schools) and the receipt of 16 gifts.
The Administration Committee reported that the leaks had been repaired at the Farms
Branch, and that as soon as the new stack lights had been installed at the Main Library, work
would be begun on the Book Elevator which was in pressing need of repairs.
The report of the Librarian was read and placed on file.
