The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Library on Thursday, April
26, at 4 P.M.
There were present of the Trustees, Miss Loring, Mrs. Motley, and Messrs. Cronin,
Delaney and Small.
The records of the meeting of March 3 1st were read and approved.
Mr. Small presented the report of the Finance Committee for the first four months of the
year. Voted: to approve the same.
The Administration Committee made informal report of conditions at the Main Library
and at Beverly Farms.
The report of the Librarian, summing up activities in the Children's Department, for the
present school term was read and placed on file.
After informal discussion, it was voted not to pay Mrs. Palmer more than the $12.50 a
month now allowed her for the use of her automobile in the transportation of books.
Voted: to pay Miss Aylward, out of Trust Funds, sufficient to cover the expense of
transporting the Marionette stage and puppet to the Farms Branch for the Children' s Story Hour.
Upon request of the Librarian, it was voted that the sum of $150.00 be used from the
Trust Funds to cover expenses of attendance, by the Librarian and two assistants, at the
Noaheastern Library Conference to be held in New Hampshire in June.
The Circulation Committee recommended the purchase of 94 titles and the receipt of 42
gifts.
Voted: that this recommendation be accepted.
