The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Library on Thursday, January
28th, at 4 P.M.
There were present of the Board, Miss Loring, Mrs. Motley, and Messrs. Porter, Delaney,
Cronin and Small.
The records of the meeting of December 3 1st were read and approved.
Mr. Small reported that the Finance Committee had met with the Mayor and members of the
Finance Committee of the City Government, to present and discuss the budget for this year; and
explained certain small cuts which had been made at the suggestion of that committee.
The Administration Committee made report of conditions at Beverly Farms Library, under
Mr. Harrington, the new helper.
The Committee on Circulation recommended the purchase of 13 1 new titles and the receipt
of 15 gifts. Voted: to accept this recommendation.
The report of the Librarian, giving comparative figures for 1926 and 193 1 was read and
placed on file.
