There were present of the Board Miss Loring, Messrs. Cronin, Porter, Rowe and Delaney. The records of the meeting of October 27 were read and approved. The Administration Committee reported that repairs had been made to remedy leaks at the Farms Branch, and that certain minor repairs would be necessary at the Main Library; and recommended that any unexpended balance under the item "Furniture and Repairs" should be spent for chairs for the adult reading room. This recommendation was approved. The newspaper list, for 1933, as presented by the Committee on Circulation, was approved - the list being the same as that of 1932, except that the New York Herald Tribune was substituted for the New York World Telegram, and that the New York Times was added to those taken for the Farms Branch. Voted: that the annual report of the Board of Trustees, as prepared by Miss Loring, Chairman, be accepted as the report of the Board for 1932, and forwarded to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen at the proper time. After informal discussions of the overcrowded conditions prevailing in the adult reading room, and the possibility of being forced to request the High School pupils not to use the adult reading rom after 6:30 or 7 P.M., it was decided to postpone further discussion until the next meeting of the Board - the Librarian being authorized to make that request, in the mean time, if conditions warranted. The report of the Finance Committee, giving details of expenditures for the eleven months of the year, was read and approved; and the Finance Committee was requested to bring the budget for 1933 for discussion at the December meeting of the Board.
