The meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Library on Thursday, April 26th, at 4
P.M., with Miss Loring, Mrs. Motley, and Mr. Delaney in attendance.
Since this was not a quorum, all action was taken subject to ratification at the next
meeting of the Board.
The records of the meeting of March 29th were read and approved.
The Secretary presented, for the Finance Committee, a summary of expenditures and
balances for the first four months of the year.
The Committee on Circulation recommended the purchase of 94 new books, and the
acceptance of 48 gifts. Voted: that this recommendation be approved.
Mr. Delaney reported that steps were being taken to keep the bigger ball players at the
lower end of the Common, away from the Library grounds.
The report of the Librarian, giving details of circulation, story hour attendance, and
certificate reading, was read and placed on file.
Voted: - that the Library close at 8 P.M., Saturdays excepted, from June 1 until the
Tuesday after Labor Day.
