The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Library on Thursday, March 1,
at 4 P.M., there being present of the Board, Miss Loring, Mrs. Motley, Messrs. Porter, Pond,
Delaney, Cronin and Woodberry.
The records of the meeting of January 25th were read and approved.
The report of the Finance Committee, giving a summary of the work done by the C.W.A., at
the Main Library and at the Farms Branch. This report was approved.
The Committee on Circulation recommended the purchase of 97 new titles, and the receipt
of 9 gifts. Voted: that this recommendation be approved.
In response to a letter from the State Department of Education, requesting the use of the
Library Hall for a series of eight lectures on Business Law, the Trustees voted to grant permission
for such use, making a minimum charge of five dollars for each lecture, to cover expense of heat,
light, etc.
Voted: to continue the services of Mr. Revel Davis at the Farms Branch until April 1st.
