The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees was held on Thursday, June 26th, at
4P.M.
Miss Loring, Mrs. Motley, Messrs. Delaney and Rowe were present.
The records of the meeting of May 28 were read and approved as was the statement of the
Finance Committee giving a summary of expenditures to date.
The Administration Committee made report on progress of the W.P.A. painting project at
the Main Library and the Farms Branch, and stressed again the need of repairs to the terra cotta
trimming at the Branch.
Mr. Delaney also reported the urgent need of a new threshold at the front door of the
Main Library.
This could be done for approximately fifty-five dollars; and he was authorized to have the
work done without delay.
The Committee on Circulation recommended the purchase of 80 new titles. This was
approved.
Miss Helena Cronin was suggested as a possible story-teller, to take the place of Mrs.
Marion Rudkin, who resigned last May, and Miss Stanton was authorized to engage Miss Cronin,
if possible, to tell stories to children of the 4th - 7th grades, at five dollars for each story hour.
The report of the Librarian was read and placed on file.
Adjourned until September 26th unless called for special meeting by the Chairman.
