The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Library on Thursday,
December 30th, at 4 P.M.
There were present, Miss Loring, Mrs. Motley, Messrs. Pond, Cronin, Delaney, Cagan
and Small.
The Secretary' s report of the meeting of November 18 was read and approved.
The Finance Committee presented for discussion the budget for 1938, as prepared by that
Committee. It was voted to approve this budget, asking for $32,447.80 and one half the dog tax,
and further moved that a vote of thanks be extended to the Finance Committee for their efficient
preparation of this budget for 1938.
The Committee was directed to send this to the Board of Aldermen and the Mayor and to
meet with them for discussions of it at the proper time.
The report of the Administration Committee as given by Mr. Delaney, was then approved.
The report of the Librarian, giving figures to date, was read and placed on file.
The Circulation Committee recommended the purchase of 249 titles and the acceptance of
6 gifts. Voted: that this be approved.
