The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held on Thursday, September 30th, at 4
P.M., with Miss Loring, Mrs. Motley, Messrs Cagan, Rowe, Delaney and Cronin in attendance.
The records of the meeting of June 24 were read and approved; as was the report of the
Finance Committee, giving expenditures and balances to date.
A summary of the activities of the Library since the Trustees meeting in June was
presented by the Librarian. This was placed on file.
The Committee on Circulation reported that since July first 1204 books had been added to
the Library, 317 of these being gifts. Voted: to approve this report.
This Committee also presented for consideration, the proposed magazine list for 1938.
With a few changes this was approved as read, and it was voted to submit the list to the Leon C.
Doble Company of Beverly for an estimate - this price to be considered at the next meeting of the
Board.
Two sets of music - one of songs and the other for the piano - were submitted for
consideration, and it was voted to purchase the eight volume set for the piano, leaving the set of
songs to be voted upon later if money allowed.
