Small Others present: Recorder: Marjorie H. Stanton Beverly, October 7th, 1936 A Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Library on Wednesday, October 7th, at 11:30 a. m., to consider estimates received for the installation of the oil heating plant at the Farms Branch. Miss Loring, Messrs. Cagan, Porter, Delaney and Cronin were present to discuss the matter. Estimates were received from Joseph C. Stanwood and A. J. Callahan of Beverly Farms, and John P. Murphy, H. Guy Lyman and Robert Robertson of Beverly at prices ranging from $1864.00 to $2,300.00. It was voted to award the contract to the Robert Robertson Co. at their estimate of $1864.00 and to install, at an additional cost of $155.00, as estimated by the Robert Robertson Co., the necessary equipment to provide hot water for domestic purposes. Since the City had appropriated the sum of $2,000 for installing the heater, it was voted to make up the balance from Trust Funds, - this to include charge for the services of Richard Kimball, engineer, of Boston. Voted to adjourn Marjorie H. Stanton Secretary The Secretary was instructed to notify all bidders as to awarding.
