Beverly, October 7th, 1936
A Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Library on Wednesday, October
7th, at 11:30 a. m., to consider estimates received for the installation of the oil heating plant at the
Farms Branch.
Miss Loring, Messrs. Cagan, Porter, Delaney and Cronin were present to discuss the matter.
Estimates were received from Joseph C. Stanwood and A. J. Callahan of Beverly Farms, and
John P. Murphy, H. Guy Lyman and Robert Robertson of Beverly at prices ranging from $1864.00
to $2,300.00.
It was voted to award the contract to the Robert Robertson Co. at their estimate of $1864.00
and to install, at an additional cost of $155.00, as estimated by the Robert Robertson Co., the
necessary equipment to provide hot water for domestic purposes.
Since the City had appropriated the sum of $2,000 for installing the heater, it was voted to
make up the balance from Trust Funds, - this to include charge for the services of Richard Kimball,
engineer, of Boston.
Voted to adjourn
