Delaney Others present: Recorder: Marjorie H. Stanton Beverly, April 25, 1935 The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Library on Thursday, April 25th at 4 p.m., with Miss Loring, Messrs. Porter, Cagan, Woodberry and Cronin in attendance. The records of the meeting of March 28th were read and approved. The statement of the Finance Committee, giving a summary of expenditures to date was read and approved. A letter from Mayor Torrey, explaining that the extra fifty dollars on the salary budget was intended as an increase for Mrs. Keenan, at the Ryal Side Deposit, was read; and it was voted, in accordance with this communication, that Mrs. Keenan's salary for 1935 should $400 instead of $350.00 Voted: - that the Library should close at 8 p.m., Saturdays excepted, from June 1st until the day after Labor Day. Since the May meeting would fall on Memorial Day, it was voted to hold the next meeting on Tuesday, May 28th. Voted: Since Miss Beatrice Leary was not available to supervise the E.R.A. workers on the Library Project, to allocate the money voted for her services, to one or more of the part time assistants on the Library Staff. The Committee on Circulation recommend the purchase of 124 new titles and the receipts of 9 gifts. Also the gift of one picture from Mrs. Robert Bancroft, and the acceptance of two others as a temporary loan. Voted: that this be approved. Voted: to adjourn. Adjourned. Marjorie H. Stanton Secretary
