J. Frates opened the meeting saying that he received a note from J. McSweeney of the
Cummings Center inviting all to Open House on Tuesday, October 7, 2003 from 3:00 p.m.
to 7:00 p.m. The walkway is paved. He also stated that Ventron has heen purchased.
R. Maglio asked if anything more had been done on the floatel. J. Frates stated nothing
yet. It is now the Mayor's decision.
S. M. Seamans made a motion to accept the Minutes of the previous meeting. A.
Wheelock seconded. All approved.
Committee Reports:
Facilities Committee met and discussed rates. S.M. Seamans made a motion to
approve an increase in rotes for the marinas. For pleasure boats it will increase from
$33.00 to $35.00 pet foot, and for commercial boats it will increase from $11.00 to
$12.00 per foot for the winter season. S. Menezes seconded, and all approved.
A. Wheelock stated that the Power Plant put in for a grant, and it was accepted. S. M.
Seamans asked how we could get some money.
It was mentioned that the City has $200,000 mitigation money from the pipeline.
The pipeline purchased water from Beverly.
J. Frates suggested that we keep Christmas in mind.
A motion to adjourn was made by J. Murray, seconded by G. Ward, and approved by all.
