December 6, 2001
Jubilee Yacht Club
PRESENT: L Frates, M. Troubetaris, T. Birner, D. Neuman, A. Wheelock, and C.
Raymond
GUESTS: M. Handly and L. Bochynski
J. Frates opened the meeting and thanked everyone for corning.
D. Neuman explained that we should be getting a grant from the Seaport Council. This
money will go directly from Seaport to Vine Associates. J. Frates congratulated D.
Neuman for his work on this.
A. Wheelock had a meeting with the Coast Guard, and stated that the "EAGLE" will be
coming to Salem on the 8th, 9th, and 10th of August. It will be for a celebration for
Nathaniel Bowditch. He will see if there is any way that it could come to Beverly, if only
for a turnaround.
M. Handly spoke about Beverly Pon Marina. They had a deadline of Deeember 28 for
motions. We recently got a plot plan from them. It is inappropriate. The plan should be
what was there in 1984. M. Handly is concerned. He would like to work on a
memorandum to be put into the file in the City Clerk's Office, so that someone can look
back to see what has gone on. M. Handly will meet with D. Neuman, C. Raymond, and
J. Frates to try to compose this memorandum.
M. Handly stated that there is an I beam at the end of Central Street that may need some
attention.
M. Troubetaris made a motion to adjourn. It was seconded by D. Neuman.
Respectfully submitted,
Eileen Twiss
