Joanne Panunzio presided.
A. Library Director Search
1. Familiarize subcommittee members to the Director search process: Members were given the
tentative process that will be followed.
1. Invite members to join search committee
2. Post job
3. collect applications
4. individual ratings
5. Open meeting to discuss applicants, changing to executive session to do so.
Then reverting to open meeting to inform of names and numbers of finalists
to be interviewed.
6. Background checks /reference interviews
7. Open meeting to prepare questions for finalists.
8. Open meetings to interview finalists. Revert to executive session to discuss.
(99 may be included at this time). After last finalist is discussed, one may be
chosen to meet with the Mayor.
9. Tour of library for finalists
10. Recommended finalist to meet with the full board, and recommended for
appointment to the position of Director.
2. Tentative timeline for Director search: Job will be posted on December 2" Applicants
have until December 13 to submit letter and resume.
3. Establish a search committee: We will invite a staff member, a City official, and a
member of the Friends to join us in the search.
The next meeting of the subcommittee will be held after the new year; exact date to be determined by
availability of the subcommittee members.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:30PM.
