Director's Report
Building Concerns and Usage
Mayor's Master Plan Meeting will take at the Senior Center in December. A proposed plan for
the next ten years for the city will be discussed.
Decoration of the foyer; carpeting and repainting of the walls are on the agenda.
The Recreation Dept. will hold classes for the next session on Mondays and Wednesdays from
Feb. 24 -March 13
Administration and Finance
YTD `20 Budget reviewed.
Formula Grant due to the state on November 15; also, due that date is the Annual Report to the
State.
Senior care, Inc. Title III b funding increase- The contract will be revised by Seniorcare, Inc. per
City Solicitor, Stephanie Williams. Currently still waiting on revisions.
Center will be closed on December 24 at noon, and December 25 and again on December 31s
Statement provided by City Solicitor on New waiver /release of liability statement for
transportation riders.
Friends of the COA final disbursement and allocation in the amount of,
eight thousand six hundred fifty -one dollars and seventy -four cents ($8,651.74)
Programs and Events Senior care
Holiday gift basket collection update and distribution information.
Domestic Violence panel canceled on October 17 at 10 -11AM
Senior Soiree Scheduled for January 9 We currently have three sponsors for the event.
Whole Foods is a sponsor for the Volunteer Appreciation Dessert party on December 18
BHS Chorale group to appear at the Center on December 17
The Middle School Band and Chorus will perform on December 19
Community Engagement
Breakfast Club will meet next at the Senior Center on December 12 the high school on Jan. 9th
Game Night continues to be going well. Sign up at the front desk in advance, held in Rec Room
A and B.
Meetings /Activities Clients /Clients /Clients of Concern
Meeting will Beverly Main Streets regarding ideas for an AARP Community Challenge Grant.
Senior care, Inc. COA Appreciation Event to be held on January 14 2020, in Beverly, the Board
is invited.
Mary Ann will be meeting with the consultant who is researching arts and culture opportunities
in Beverly.
Elders at Risk and Hub Meetings discussed.
