Ms. Hurlburt calls the meeting to order at 6:45 p.m.
1. Rice Rental Center - Ed Juralewicz / 115 Cabot Street / Sign
Mr. Juralewicz is not present. The Board agreed to take no action.
2. Burger King - Dann Stapp / 498 Rantoul Street / Sign
Mr. Stapp approaches the Board with designs to replace the menu and presell signs
located in the rear of the Burger King. The signs will be within 1 SF of original size.
The menu sign will display breakfast menu on one side and with a pivot motion will
show the lunch menu on the other side. The signs will be internally illuminated with
external lighting. He states that he would like to move the presell sign if possible back a
few feet.
Ms. O'Brien questions if the will be visible from the slreet. Mr. Stapp replies no. The
two signs are in the rear of the building.
Ms. Hurlburt asks if the lights will be turned off at night. Mr. Hurlburt also states if the
sign is moved Mr. Stapp must see the Zoning Officer regarding variance regulations.
Ms. O'Brien motions to accept. Motion carries 2-0.
3. Harry's 240 - Ellen & Steohen O'Connor / 240 Rantoul Street / Sign
Susan Fitzgerald approaches the Board on behalf of the O'Connor's. She shows the
Board a design of thc sign to be displayed. The sign will be dark green with gold
lettering made from carved wood. The sign will be displayed fiom an existing bracket.

Also, two dark green awnings will be placed on the front of the building over the two
front windows. One awning will read "Restaurant" and the other "Bar" in 6" lettering.
The sign will be externally illuminated with two lamps. The Board admires the Glass
Smaltz to be on the sign.
Ms. O'Brien motions to accept. Motion carries 2-0.
4. Dawn's Highway - Mark & Despina Luis / 1 Dodge Street / Sign
The Luis' approach the Board with a color sketch of the sign they wish to display. The
sign will be 38 SF, internally illuminated with red letters and a yellow sun. This will be a
reface of the existing sign. The sign will be level with the rooftop.
Ms. Hurlburt requests that they use an opaque background rather than white.
The Luis' agree.
Ms. O'Brien motions to accept. Motion carries 2-0.
5. Approval of Minntes
Ms. Hurlburt motions to table. Ms. O'Brien agrees.
