Ms. Hurlburt called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
1. Dunkin Donuts, 41 Enon Street/Dinert Serpa - Signage
Mr. Serpa approached the Board to ask to replace one freestanding sign (3' x 6') and one
wall sign (4' x 8'). He stated his replacement will remain the same size and same colors;
rasberry with gold lettering. Both signs are illuminated.
Ms. O'Brien suggested shrubs around the base of the pole sign and Mr. Serpa agreed to
do some landscaping to make the pole look nice.
The Board questioned the hours the signs would be illuminated. Mr. Serpa would like to
keep them on all night; the board stated they must be shut off at closing, 11 p.m.
Mrs. Hurlburt moved to approve the signs contingent upon shrubs on both sides of pole;
seconded by Mr. Finch. All members in favors. Motion carried.

2. Lyons Ambulance Service/133 Brimbal Ave/Signage
Two representatives front Lyons Ambulance requested approval of a sign to be placed
and centered above their doors at 133 Brimbal Ave. They will be occupying 2000 sf of
space. The sign will be made of plywood with gold lettering, maroon background, non-
illuminated. It will be centered above two 10' x 10' doors.
Mr. Finch motioned to approve the sign, seconded by Ms. O'Brien. Motion carried.
3. Carmine's Records & Etc./202 Rantoul St./Carmine Marciano - Signage
Mr. Marciano will be selling records and other memorabilia in the location previously
occupied by The Golden Hanger. The sign will be 30" x 96". It will have white lettering
and a red background with external lighting. He will be replacing existing sign.
Ms. O'Brien moved to approve the sign seconded by Ms. Palardy. All members in favor.
Motion carried.
INFORMAL DISCUSSION
Carlson GMAC Real Estate/Ed Juralewicz/Signage
Mr. Juralewicz asked for an informal discussion to distress a sign to be installed at 11-13
Enon Street. This light purple building will be occupied by Carlson Real Estate as well as
Hit or Miss. Carlson will occupy 2 units of the building. The sign will contain 18" letters.
Ms. Huxlburt & Ms. Palardy questioned the shade of red they will be using will clash with
the light purple building She asked that they look into changing the shade of red.
Mr. Juralewicz stated that this has been their trademark color and when the sign is
illuminated the shade will be slightly different.
Mr. Finch questioned the possibility of a mini-box sign with white around the letters.
Mr. Juralewicz will approach the board at a later date with possible changes,

4. Approval of Meeting Minutes
Motion made by Ms. Hurlburt to approve the July 6, 2000 meeting mirtutes, seconded by
Mr. Haring. Ms. Palardy abstained.
Meeting adjourned at 7 p.m.
