Debbie Hurlburt calls the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

2) APPROVAL OF MINUTES -12/2/98

Motion to accept Minutes of December 2, 1998, seconded
by O'Brien. Motion carries.
The Board resumes discussion of regulations regarding signs, more
specifically Section 29-25, Page 93:
Sec. B. 1. a. (Wall Sign) shall read as follows:
One (1) permanent wall sign not to exceed a maximum of
twenty (20) square feet is permitted for up to one (1)
other of the ground floor uses' facades provided that
such facades face a public way or parking lot. All
signs must be placed in the building's sign band, if one
exists and the sign must be placed so it does not obscure
architectural detail of the building. If a building
does not have a sign band than the top of any sign shall
be no higher than the bottom of the sills of the second
story windows or 15 ft. above grade whichever is lower.
Internally illuminated wall signs shall project no more
than twelve (12) inches out from the building.

Mounting hardware shall be placed to minimize its
view from the sidewalk.
The Board had discussion regarding Section 29-25 which refers
to buildings where the distance of closest point of building
nearest public way is. It was decided by the Board that Scott
Houseman will draft some language fo~ discussion at the next
meeting of the Board.
The next item for discussion will be sub-section b. (Freestanding
sign)
