Board Members absent: Mary Lou Mital, Robert Murphy, Cynthia Montalbano
Others present: Leslee Breen, Director
Robert called meeting to order at 2:35 p.m. The Secretary was elected pro-tem to run the meeting in the
absence of the Chairman and Vice Chairman.
SECRETARY’S REPORT:
February minutes were approved as read.
DIRECTOR’S REPORT: Leslee reported that her and Bill Burke were looking into the costs of having a
voice mail system being put in, Building Use for February was one Recreation Department, the Beano
account stands at $14,352.24 as of 2/18/04, an assisted listening device will be installed in the hall on

March 9, there are several personnel issues that were addressed.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: The Friends mass mailing fundraising letter is at the jail and being printed.
The upstairs heating/cooling system is still waiting to be fixed.
LEGISLATIVE REPORT: Hoping for EOEA level funding. City has asked us to develop level funded
budgets.
OLD BUSINESS:
A. Writing Class/Historical Documentation-Leslee reported that Mary Lou located two people
interested in working on the project but they would like to work with someone from the
Board. Peter, Bob, and Joe agreed to try and assist.

B. Traffic Light- Bob Murphy will meet with the Mayor on March 9 to discuss the matter. He
has also sent a letter to Councilor Hobin.
C. Update Subcommittees-hold for next meeting
D. Board Vacancy- Brad Gaige, Branch Business Development Officer with the Beverly
National Bank will be nominated for approval
NEW BUSINESS: A. Budget FY 05. The budget was presented to the group for approval. Approved.
PUBLIC COMMENTS: None
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Kathy announced that the SeniorCare Money Management program is holding a
meeting at the Beverly Co-operative Bank for bankers to let them know the service is out there. The
program is also looking for volunteers to be money managers. SeniorCare’s Advisory Panel is also
looking for members.
