Board Members absent: Cynthia Montalbano, Peter Nuccio, Bruce Doig
Others present: Leslee Breen, Director
MaryLou called meeting to order at 2:35 p.m.
SECRETARY’S REPORT:
September minutes were approved as read.
DIRECTOR’S REPORT: Building use for September was 5 Beanos, 1 election, 1 Board of Health.
Beano account $23, 975.60. Leslee discussed she is trying to schedule a Board training between 11/11-
11/18.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: Friends meeting on 9/21. Discussion about future fundraising projects.
Discussion among group on how to recruit new members and interest. Tom made a suggestion about
having the paper write an article about all the Friends group in the city. Brad will follow-up on this and
look into publicity for the group.
LEGISLATIVE REPORT: Increase for COAs approved. Waiting to hear the amount.
OLD BUSINESS:
A. Writing Class/Historical Documentation-MaryLou reported that a meeting is set for 10/19 at
1:00 p.m. with Fred and others to discuss the history of the council. Writing should begin on
st
November 1.
B. Traffic Light- Tom Scully reported that Tina Cassidy told him the funding is in place. The
request should go to the Council on 10/18 to request the additional $20,000. It will probably
then go to committee (possibly on 10/25) for hearing.
C. Building “to-do” list. Still trying to get the coil back.
D. Reappointment Letters. Letter sent.
E Status of Board training. See comments under Director’s Report.
NEW BUSINESS: A question was addressed out the transportation department’s out of town policy.
Leslee explained the policy.

The meeting was adjourned.
