Meeting was called to order at 2:05 p.m.
SECRETARY’S REPORT:
The reading of the minutes of the June meeting was dispensed and accepted as presented.
DIRECTOR’S REPORT: Leslee reported on building usage and Beano. She reported on the new
TRIAD/S.A.L.T. Council program, Stamp Club, and Current Events group. Leslee reminded everyone

that Senior Day in the Park is August 7.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: Friends Group-Leslee reported that the group would not meet in July and
August.
LEGISLATIVE REPORT: Governor had just vetoed COA line item by 10% but Prescription Advantage
was still stable.
OLD BUSINESS:
A. Budget. Leslee and Tom reported that the COA took a $40,000 reduction. This will translate to
two layoffs, a reduction in the new custodian’s hours, and a reduction in other staff’s hours. The union
still must negotiate with the City so this is not final. Leslee reported that $19,800 would be taken from the
Enterprise account for FY 04. This is in addition to the $10,000 the City takes out each year. Looking at
the entire balance sheet it appears that the Enterprise account will begin with a balance of $7,500.
B. Board appointments. Tom reported that letters to the Mayor had been sent. Leslee will approach
some other individuals to ascertain their interest.
C. Beano. Bob reported that volunteers are still needed for Wednesday night Beano.
NEW BUSINESS:
A. Election of new officers. Slate chosen and approved (Bob with motion, Bruce with second)
B. Senior of the Year. SOTY was decided.
