Dear Honorable Council:
Attached for your consideration is a letter from Purchasing Agent David Gefineau conceming the leaselpurchase for
five school buses for the School Department.
Since the transaction exceeds 36 months in duration, Council approval is required in order to sign the contract prior to
the delivery dale of the vehicles.

Dear Mayor Cahill,
We have opened bids for a lease/purchase transaction for equipment for the School Department. Because the
transaction exceeds 36 months in duration, we will need Council approval to sign the contract prior to delivery of the
equipment The terms of the transaction are fairly standard for the type of equipment being acquired.
The accepted bid is a five (5) year School Bus Lease Purchase contract for five buses: four are a type "C" 71-
passenger bus, and one a type "A" Mini School Bus i6- passenger with 1 wheelchair passenger bus. This contract will
be awarded upon your approval to O'Connor Motor Company, Portland, ME.
Council approval is requested for the five (5) year lease purchase with All American Investment Group at an annual
cost of $61,330.00. We request timely action by the council on this matter.
As is required of any multiple year goods and services contract, language will be included making each annual
payment subject to appropriation.
