SUE SHARP - THERE IS NO KNOWN RELEASE. IT HAS BEEN A SERVICE
STATION SINCE 1929. THE APPLICANT IS PUTTING WATER BACK INTO THE
AQUIFIER.
ALIX SMALL - TRUCK IT OUT RATHER THAN PUT IT INTO OUR WATERSHED.
ALL THE TESTS ARE DESIGNED TO PROTECT THE WATER.
CHAIRMAN - THE APPLICANT WILL BE COMING BACK TO THE CONSERVATION
COMMISSION, THIS IS ONLY THE FIRST STEP.
THIS TREATMENT SYSTEM IS OVER DESIGNED AS A PROTECTION. CARBON
CANISTERS WILL BE USED. THE CONTAMINATION DOES GO TO THE END OF
THE PROPERTY. TO DO DRILLING ON THE NEIGHBOR'S PROPERTY AND
TESTING.
CLAYTON SMALL - ASKED ABOUT STATE PERMITS.
IT HAS BEEN APPROVED BY THE EPA.
CLAYTON SMALL - ASKED ABOUT EROSION AND SEDIMENT. A CHARCOAL
RESIDUE, INCREASES OF NITROGEN AND PHOSPEROUS CONTENT, NOT
PROJECTED TO BE A HIGH FLOW.
TOM KNOWLTON - WANTS THIS PROBLEM DEALT WITH AND WANTS THE TESTING
DONE. THIS IS A SHORT PUMP TEST. IT WILL BE PUMPED OUT OF THE
WATERSHED. THE SITE NOW IS 350' FROM THE EDGE OF WENHAM LAKE. THE
TEST WELLS MUST BE DONE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM AND TO GET THIS
MEDIATION SYSTEM GOING. TO TREAT SOIL ABOVE THE WATER TABLE.
CLAYTON SMALL - MOTIONED THAT THE INFORMATION IS SUFFICIENT TO
CLOSE THE HEARING AND GLENN TERRY SECONDED IT.

FOR THE RECORD: ALIX SMALL IS IN OPPOSITION, AFTER TALKING WITH A
HYDROLOGIST, SHE IS NOT COMFORTABLE, ALSO STATED THE MONEY
DIFFERENCE RATHER THAN TRUCKING IT OUT, IS A CONSIDERABLE
DIFFERENCE iN FAVOR OF BP OiL (ON THE SAVINGS END).

SHE EXPLAINED THE PLAN, TO CONDUCT FURTHER REVEGETATION AND TO
EXTEND THE LAWN. IT WiLL BE EXTENDED 45' BEYOND THE EXISTING
GRADING. TO REPLACE WITH NATIVE SPECIES THAT ARE MORE PLEASING TO
THE EYE.
SUCH AS HYBRID BLUEBERRY, BLUEBERRY MOLLY SHRUBS. ALSO TO MAINTAIN
A 20' AREA FROM THE EDGE OF THE BROOK NO FILL AND TO LEAVE A it'
BUFFER. MOST OF THE FLAGS ARE STILL THERE.
THE CHAIRMAN WANTS THE SITE TO BE RE-FLAGGED AND WANTS TO LOOK AT

THE COMMISSIONERS ARE TO MEET WITH CHERYL ON THE SITE AS TO WHERE
THE SPECiES/PLANTS WILL BE PLACED.

THERE WILL BE 2 MORE SECTIONS IN THE HEADWALL. ALSO THE APPLICANT
WILL DO A RIP RAP AND ALL WILL BE LEVELED AND CURVED WITH A BARRIER
