RE: REQUEST FOR WAIVER OF RIGHT OF FIRST REFUSAL FOR UNIT 203 AT
38 DUNHAM ROAD
Dear Honorable Council:
As you are aware, the City of Beverly has two affordable housing development units, which were approved
by the Board of Aldermen and the Board of Appeals several years ago. Dunham Castle Condominiums on
Dunham Road and Dane Square Condominiums on Dane Street were approved in the 1980's with conditions
attached in the Deed Rider relative to the affordability of the ownership units.

As outlined in the Deed Rider for this unit, the City has income qualified an eligible purchaser identified by
the current owner. Accordingly, the owner is now seeking a waiver of the City's right of first refusal on this
unit. If granted, the conditions in the original 1989 affordable housing Deed Rider regarding affordability
and resale will remain in force and effect for this unit.
Please find attached a letter from the owner Terry Thorpe Pierce, a Waiver of Right of First Refusal, the
Purchase and Sales Agreement between the current and prospective owner, Addendum to the Purchase and
Sales Agreement and a copy of the Deed Rider.
City Planner Aaron Clausen recommends approval of this request and may be reached at 978 - 605 -2341 if
you have any questions.
I respectfully request that you vote to approve the Waiver of Right of First Refusal at your January 5th
meeting.

Dear Honorable Council:
Attached for your review and approval is the proposed 2015 rate schedule for the Beverly Golf and
Tennis Club submitted by Golf Facilities Management, Inc. and recommended by the Beverly Golf and
Tennis Commission.
There are no changes to the rules and rates that were in place for 2014. The 2015 rates have been
reviewed and accepted by the Commission.
