MONITORING WELLS (FOR AN ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT. A DRAINAGE DITCH IS
ON THE SITE.

THE DECK AREA WILL ALLOW FOR SPACE UNDER THE PIER. ALL SHOW IN THE SUBMITTAL
ALL OF THE CONSTRUCTION IS ALUMINUM. THE CONSTRUCTION WILL BE
CONCRERE INSTEAD OF WOOD. IN COMPARISON TO VENTOLA'S (DOWN THE STREAM)
ALL IS VERY SIMILAR. THE PILES WILL BE ALL HAMMER DRIVEN. 3/4" SPACING
ON THE DECK IS TO ALLOW VENTILATION. ALL PERMITS ARE SECURED. THE
WATERWAYS IS IN THE PROCESS.
NANCY LODGE - QUESTIONED THE LOCATION?
CHAIR - IT IS LOCATED ON THE BASS RIVER NEAR THE DANVERS LINE. THEN
ASKED IF THE WORK WILL BE DONE ON A BARGE, THE CHAIR VIEWED THE SITE
JUST TODAY.
VENTOLA - (ABUTTER) YES, THE WORK WILL MOSTLY BE DONE ON A BARGE AND
ONTO THE MARSH AREA. CANNOT REACH THAT FAR WITH A CRANE.
DAVID LANG - QUESTIONED EXCAVATION, BARGE, SHORELINE.
VENTOLA - THE EXCAVATION TO THE WALL ON THE MARSH INSTEAD OF THE CRANE.
IT IS MORE ARTICULATE FOR THE JOB TO GET DONE, NOT TO EXCAVATE THE MATERIAL.

AND WILL BE UP IN BACK (OF THE AUDITORIUM).

PRESIDENT WYLIE - EXPLAINED IT IS A SIMPLE SOCCERFIELD AND A BASE-
BALL DIAMOND.
CLAYTON SMALL REQUESTED A SITE VISIT AT THIS TIME.
CARL BALSLEY - CONTINUED TO EXPLAIN THAT THERE IS A STREAM AND
BORDERING VEGETATED WETLANDS, IT IS NOT A DISCERNIBLE STREAM.
NANCY LODGE - ASKED ABOUT THE VERNAL POOLS ON THE SITE.
CARL BALSLEY - NO AND THAT HE EXAMINED THE NATRUAL HABITAT IN THE
AREA.
NANCY LODGE - QUESTIONED TREES ON THE SITE.
CARL BALSLEY - THE AREA IS DEVOID OF TREES.
THE APPLICANT WOULD LIKE THIS TO BE OPERATIONAL FOR THE FALL SEASON
WHEN THE SCHOOL WILL BE CO-ED.
TOM ALEXANDER - THERE WILL BE NO BLASTING IN THE WETLANDS.
DR. JOHNSON - ASKED IF THE BLASTED MATERIAL. WILL BE USED TO LEVEL
THE ELEVATIONS?
CARL BALSLEY - YES, SIX FEET OF FILL. THEN CONTINUED TO EXPLAIN
AREA WILL DRAIN IN A DOME LIKE FASHION.
THE CHAIR - TIGHT SLOPES?
CARL BALSLEY - ONE TO ONE AND THREE TO ONE WHERE POSSIBLE. WILL USE
GRASS SLOPES AND RIP RAP. WILL ELIMINATE RIP RAP ON THE NORTHERLY
END. THE HAY BALES HAVE NOT BEEN INSTALLED AS YET, THE AREA WILL
DRAIN TO A SWALE IN THE BACK.
THE CHAIR REFERRED TO THE SPECTATOR AREA AND FENCING. THERE IS A
STEEP SLOPE, ALSO TO PREVENT ANY DEBRIS FROM FALLING INTO THE WETLANDS.
PRESIDENT WYLIE - YES, FENCING IS PROPOSED, THERE WILL NOT BE A
BLEACHER AREA, STANDING ROOM ONLY.
DAVID LANG - RE: 1 - 1 SLOPES AND ENERGY DISSIPATORS?
CARL BALSLEY - NO, NOT ENERGY DISSIPATORS, BUT LARGE BOULDERS WILL BE
PLACED AT A 45° ANGLE GOING UP THE SLOPE. THERE WILL BE NO EROSION
FROM A ROCK, THE SPECTATOR AREA WILL DRAIN DOWN FROM A 3 - 1 SLOPE.
THE FIRST AND THIRD BASELINES ARE THE HIGH POINTS. THE HAY BALES
WILL BE MAINTAINED ALL THROUGH THE CONSTRUCTION.
CLAYTON SMALL - QUESTIONED THE TOPOGRAPHY, AND ANY WASHOUT BEHIND
THE HAY BALES.
CARL BALSLEY - COULD LOOP THE HAY BALES UP ON THE SIDES.

CRANE - QUESTIONED THE TOTAL SQUARE FEET OF AREA, SUB SOIL DELINEATION,
ALSO FERTILIZER GOING INTO THE WETLANDS AND THAT THE APPLICANT SHOULD
EXERCISE CAUTION.

GLENN TERRY - THIS IS NOT A WETLAND ISSUE.

BARTLETT GARDENS AND END OF WILSON AVENUE.
PRESENT, FROM METCALF AND EDDY, TOM SPEARIN AND STEVE PIETRONE.
RUSS ROLLINS, WARD 2 COUNCILLOR, WAS ALSO PRESENT.
TOM SPEARIN EXPLAINED THE PHASE I BEVERLY TUNNEL ABANDONMENT. AND TO
SEPARATE THE COMBINED SEWERS. THE PROJECT INVOLVES THE AREA IN THE
BARTLETT GARDENS-WILSON AVENUE OVERFLOW STRUCTURE. THE COMBINED SEWER
TAKES IN THE SANITARY WASTE AND WHAT ENTERS THE STORM DRAINS. THE
PROJECT IS TO SEPARATE AND SO THAT THE WASTE WILL GO TO SESD. AN
OPTIONAL PUMP STATION AT THE END OF WILSON AVE. OTHER OPTION IS TO
BUILD WENTZELL AVE. PUMP STATION. HAY BALES WILL BORDER ALL THE
WORK IN THE AREA. A 42" PIPE IS SETTLED IN THE AREA, TO REPLACE 200'
OF PIPE. WETLANDS TO THE NORTH. THE NOTICE OF INTENT=WITHIN 100'
OF THE BEACH. WENTZELL AVE. -- TOTALLY BELOW GROUND PUMP STATION.
WILL BE 8' IN DIAMETER. TO CONTAIN TWO SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS.
THE CHAIRMAN ASKED ABOUT AUXILIARY POWER.
TOM SPEARIN - YES, THERE WILL BE A PORTABLE ENGINE GENERATOR.
THE POLICE DEPARTMENT WILL BE CONTACTED.
NANCY LODGE - WILL THERE BE A PUMP IN THE WETLAND.
TOM SPEARIN - NOT IN THE WETLAND, THERE WILL BE A WET WELL.
DAVID LANG - RE: THE PUMP STATION / SEWERAGE.
CLAYTON SMALL - ASKED ABOUT OIL SEPARATORS?
TOM SPEARIN - NO OIL SEPARATORS.
DPW COMMISSIONER GEORGE ZAMBOURAS-EXPLAINED THAT THE EXISTING
INTERCEPTOR IS TOO LARGE. IT WILL CONVERT INTO THE DRAIN LINE TO
SEPARATE AND ALSO TO INSTALL A NEW SEWER PIPE.
DEPENDING ON THE COST, WE COULD BUILD A PUMP STATION. ONCE THE
PROJECT IS COMPLETED, THE OWNERSHIP REVERTS BACK TO THE CITY FROM
SESD. A SEWER STATION IS LESS COSTLY THAN 'PIPE INTO PIPE'.
DR. JOHNSON - HOW IS THE PIPE SETTLED, HOW WAS THAT FOUND OUT.
