1696-01-07[Selectmen's Meeting January 7, 1696] At a meeting of the Selectmen on the 7th day of January, 1695/6, then reckoned with Joseph Herrick who was Constable for the year 1694, with respect to a town rate committed to him bearing date February the 11th, 1694/5, as also with respect to Mr. Hale's rate bearing date January the 24th, 1694/5, and he, the said Joseph Herrick, hath fully discharged the said rates. At the same meeting of the Selectmen was paid unto Lieut. William Dodge, thirteen shillings and five pence in pay and 00:01:06 in money, that is to say, 00:11:11 by discount of the said Lieut. William Dodge's old town rate, 00:01:06 in pay, 00:06:06 in money on account of Robert Sallows, his town rate.
