RESOURSE AREAS - SALT MARSH, COASTAL BANK, LAND UNDER WATER.
ALSO PRESENT, CHARLES KOSKUSKA, AN ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER.
EXPLAINED THE 100-YR. FLOOD PLAIN, ONLY ONE TO BE DEVELOPED IN THIS
PROJECT. DRAINAGE TO INCLUDE HGAS SEPARATORS, CATCH BASINS, ALOL
PAVED RUNOFF TOGO INTO THE GAS SEPARATORS BEFORE GOING TO THE BASS
RIVER.
CHAIRMAN - QUESTIONED ANY RESOURCES OF CONCERNS?
ENGINEERS - ADDITIONAL RIP RAP IS PROVIDED. NO ADDED MITIGATION.
DAVID LANG - RE: DRAINAGE, EACH 4' DIAMETRR CATCH BASIN, THEN
DRAINAGE (FIRST FLUSH AFTER A STORM) THEN WILL GO INTO THE
SEPARATOR.

ENGINEER - NO.
DAVID LANG - RE: WATER FLUSHES AND MECHANICAL MEANS OF TREATMENT.
ENGINEER - EXPLAINED THE PROCEDURE OF TREATMENT.
CHAIRMAN - BASS RIVER / POLLUTION. IT IS SHALLOW, REALLY DOESN'T
FLUSH OUT, THE POLLUTION STAYS IN THE AREA. IT NEVER REALLY GETS
OUT TO SEA.
ENGINEER - SEDIMENTS ARE FINE, IT BUILDS UP THERE, PCB'S ARE IN THE
SEDIMENTS, RIP RAP AND EROSION CONTROL WILL BE EXTENDED SO AS NOT
TO DISTURB THE FLOW. THE SITE DRAINS OVERLAND AND INTO THE BASS
RIVER WITHOUT ANY WATER TREATMENT.
CLAYTON SMALL - ASKED WHAT PREVENTS SEA WATER AT HIGH TIDE TO GO
INTO THE PIPE? WILL THIS DISTURB THE SEPARATORS? ANSWER - NO.
IN A MAJOR STORM, WILL IT BACK UP?
ENGR. NO - SITE IS ABOVE THE 100-YR. STORM.
CHAIRMAN - IN A 10-YR. STORM AND IF A TIDAL, WILL THE AREA DRAIN.?
ENGR. PONDING WILL OCCUR ON SITE.
NANCY LODGE - THERE ARE NO CLEAN MATERIALS, HAS SPOKE W / DIVERS,
COULD THIS BE MIXED UP?
CHAIRMAN - THEY WILL NOT BE GOING INTO THE RIVER.
GLENN TERRY - AT NORMAL HIGH TIDE, ARE THE PIPES GRAVITY FED?
ENGINEER - AT HIGH TIDE, THE WATER WILL BE SEEKING ITS OWN LEVEL
AND WILL FORCE ITS WAY OUT.

RE: THE 10-YR. HIGH TIDE / WATER IN THE RIVER. AND THE 10-YR. STORM
EVENT THROUGH THE PIPE.

ENGINEER - THE AREA IS HEAVILY IMPACTED / BRACKISH, THERE WILL BE NO
EFFECT ON THE MARINE LIFE, NO SUBSTANTIAL IMPACT.

ENGINEER - UNABLE TO PUT ONE IN TO HANDLE THE POND. THERE ARE 2
PLANS OF REMEDIATION, SOIL IN THE GROUNDWATER, TO STOCKPILE, HAY
BALES WILL BE PUT AROUND, A CHARCOAL FILTER AND A WATER PURIFIER
WILL BE PUT IN AND TO EXCAVATE DOWN, TO UT A TARP OVER - ASPHALT
WILL BE LAID DOWN.
NANCY LODGE - WILL CONTAMINATED MATERIALS BE TAKEN AWAY EVERY DAY?
ENGINEER - SOME MATERIALS CAN REMAIN ON SITE. TO DEWATER BELOW 42.

ENGINEER - DEMOLITION: SMASHING BALLS WILL BE USED, WILL TAKE THE
MATERIAL TO A LANDFILL.
BILL LISS - RE: THE FOUNDATION, WILL ALL THE PILES BE REMOVED?
AND QUESTIONED THE EXISTING PLANS.
CHAIRMAN - INQUIRED ABOUT PUBLIC ACCESS?
ENGINEER - THERE WILL BE A GREEN BUFFER, AND A 10' WIDE WALKWAY.

SUBSURFACE UTILITIES WILL BE GOING INTO STOP AND SHOP. VERY LITTLE
WILL BE GOING ON HERE. TO MAINTAIN BASICALLY THE SAME SURFACE, TO

PUMP STATION FOR SEWERRAGE, NOW A SEPTIC SYSTEM EXISTS. UTILITIES
