Kim Allyn, Alex Ushakoff, Neil Overberg — Alternate.
COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT:

and Alex Ushakoff.
PUBLIC PRESENT:
• Walter Kosmowski (BEVCAM), Paul Earl (BEVCAM),
A quorum being present the meeting was called to order at 7:05.00 P.M.
• Old business:
• Communications and correspondence: None
• The July minutes were amended, voted on, and accepted.
• Dan proposed a prospective new board member.
• Operation alert: Walter presented a plan for Operation alert. Discussion followed re:
how BevCam should be notified of an emergency, and that there should be a S.P.O.C.
(single point of contact) to interact with at city hall. Dan presented a letter he sent to
Mayor Scanlon, Michael Collins, Walt Kosmowski, George Johnson, and Don Berman
re: issues on Operation Alert. and asked for suggestions on how to proceed onward.
• New business:
• BevCam report: Walter Kosmowski presented the August BevCam report re: staff,
production schedule, project outreach, technical issues and financials.
• There were no issues regarding the new contract.
• Fiber links to Lynch Park and Beverly Farms were discussed. Beverly has 3 years to
contact Comcast to start construction.
• Kim Allyn submitted his resignation from CATVAC. He will become a staff member
of BevCam.
• Open issues
• Search for new commission members.
• Operation alert.
• Don asked for a BevCam employee list. P. Earl directed Walt to provide one.
The next meeting is Thursday October 20th, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. at Bevcam's studio
location in the Beverly High School.
At 8:01 P.M. the meeting was adjourned.
