Bill Page Tina Cassidy Richard Benevento Benevento calls the meeting to order at 8:35 a.m. 1. Approval of Minutes Benevento asks if the members have had an opportunity to review the draft minutes of the January meeting. Several members have not. Bent: motion to table the approval of the draft minutes of the Commission's January 4, 2011 meeting, seconded by Page. All members in favor, none in opposition. The motion carries. 2. New or Other Business a. Continued Discussion: Neighborhood Concerns Regarding Intersection of Hale and Corning Streets Bent will draft a letter for review by P &T to Councilor Kevin Hobin regarding field observations and that no action is proposed at this time. b. Discussion: Request for a "No Parking" Sign - 12 Bridge Street / Citizen's Request Sgt. Page states Mr. Jeffrey Boyer of 12 Bridge Street has requested a "No Parking" sign be posted in front of his house. The City Ordinance prohibits parking from Bridge Street, southerly side, from River Street to a point 200 hundred feet west of the Hall Whitaker Bridge. Page will measure the distance from the Hall Whitaker Bridge and report back to P &T. C. Continued Discussion: Potential Change of Traffic Flow Direction on Kittredge and Russell Streets Parking & Traffic Commission meeting minutes March 1, 2011 meeting Page I of 2 Bent will recap P &T discussion regarding Russell and Kittredge Streets in a letter to DPS Director Mike Collins recommending further study of circulation and traffic alternatives by the City's Rantoul and Cabot Street consultant. 3. Adiournment Benevento asks if there is any further business for the Commission to conduct at this meeting. There is none. Bent: motion to adjourn, seconded by Page.
