Beverly CATV Advisory Commission Meeting

COMMISSION MEMBERS:
Dan Murphy - Chairman, George Johnson, Arthur Crandall, Al Torsey, Eric Overberg, Neil
Overberg.
COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT:

PUBLIC:
o Don Berman, Walt Kosmowski, (BEVCAM),
o A quorum being present and Dan Murphy opened the meeting at 7:00.
o Old business:
o Communications: None
o The September and October minutes were voted on and accepted.
o Other public Comments: None.
o The press release and the department head questionnaire were voted on and accepted by
the CATV AC; Dan will distribute them.
o New business:
oNeil Overberg requested and was given alternate status on the CATV AC until June
2010.
o Don suggested asking Bill Coughlin to join CATV AC.
o Walt recommended Kim Allyn and Dave Masters as new CATV AC members.
o The CATV AC congratulated Don Berman on receiving the Brian Wilson mentor of the
year award.
o Don presented the October BevCam report re: staff, production schedule, project
outreach, technical issues and financials.
o Dan presented outline of the CATV AC business plan.
o Walt presented updated time line and suggested CATV AC meet with Bill Hewig in
January .
· Open issues
o The status of all present members' terms on the CATV AC. Dan will pursue with the
city clerk.
o George is trying to contact Jane Lyman, Comcast, about analog to digital conversion on
Feb. 22,2010, and how they will support BevCam.
o George has started outline of the I-Net piece of the plan which Eric and George will
present to Russ Fisk, director ofIT, city of Beverly.
o Dan writing overview piece of plan
o Don working on BevCam piece of plan.
o January meeting with Bill Hewig.
The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, December 16t\ 2009 at 7:00 P.M. at
BevCam.
At 8:39 P.M. the meeting was adjourned.
